I Made a Website With AI. What Do I Do Next?
Made a website with ChatGPT, Lovable or an AI builder and not sure what’s next? A step-by-step guide to turning it into a real, working website.
You've used AI to make a website. It's a great start, but it isn't a real website yet. We turn it into a proper WordPress site that you own, can edit, and customers can find.

Maybe ChatGPT drew up a design, you built a prototype in Lovable, or WordPress.com put together a draft in a few minutes. It looks good, and it's a great start.
You bring us what you've made. We keep the look you liked and handle everything the AI left out.
Images or layouts from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Canva, or a screenshot of something you liked.
A site you made in Lovable, Bolt or v0, or code a chatbot wrote for you.
A site started in WordPress.com, Wix, Squarespace or Elementor's AI tools.
That's fine too. Your prompts and attempts make a useful brief.
An AI draft looks like a website. A real website does the job of one.
Where it lives. Your AI draft usually sits on a preview link or a trial account. A real website runs on your own domain, with Australian hosting you control.
How you change it. An AI draft is hard to update without more prompting or editing code. A real website is easy to edit in Elementor, or with AI if you prefer.
What it says. AI copy could belong to almost any business. A real website explains what you do and why people should choose you.
Whether anyone finds it. AI drafts are often invisible to Google and AI search. A real website is set up for SEO and AEO, so people and AI tools can find you.
Whether it works. Forms and buttons on an AI draft may not go anywhere. A real website has working forms, email on your own domain and analytics.
Who looks after it. An AI draft has no backups or security. A real website has backups, updates, security and a person to call.
Prototypes from tools like Lovable and Bolt deserve a special mention. They can look excellent, but they're built as code, which makes them hard for a business owner to update. Depending on how they're built, they can also be harder for search engines to read. Rebuilding in WordPress fixes both.
