What is an AI image refresh for a small business website?

AI image generation has matured to the point where the results are genuinely good. We use it to replace the images on your site that aren't doing you any favours -- the dark phone photo on your homepage, the generic stock image on your about page, the banner that hasn't changed since 2018.

It works best for atmosphere, concept, and context: a professional workspace, an industry scene, a banner that sets a tone. Used in the right places it can lift the look of a site significantly, at a fraction of the cost of a professional shoot. It won't replace photography of your actual staff, premises, or specific products. A camera still does that job best, and we'll tell you when that's the better call.

We charge our standard rate of $140 + GST per hour. The time involved depends on how many images need replacing and how much refinement each one takes.

A handful of key images across a small site might take two to three hours all up. A more thorough refresh across a larger site will take longer.We'll give you an honest estimate after we've had a look at your site, no surprises.

3. We generate and refine

We produce a set of options for each image. You give feedback, we refine. The goal is images that feel right for your business, not just technically impressive.

4. We swap them into your site

Once you've approved the images, we replace the old ones in WordPress and make sure everything looks right across desktop and mobile.
