Tidio is a customer service platform that puts a chat widget on your website and brings your chats, emails and social messages into one shared inbox. The WordPress plugin connects your site in a few clicks, and the widget can be customised to match your branding. On WooCommerce stores, your team can see what a visitor has in their cart and their order history while chatting, and send product cards straight into the conversation.
The main AI feature is Lyro, an AI agent that learns from your FAQs, help articles and website content, then answers customer questions around the clock. Tidio says Lyro can resolve up to 70% of common enquiries, and it hands over to a human team member when a question needs a person. Alongside Lyro, the Flows builder lets you set up automated messages and chatbot sequences, such as greeting visitors on certain pages, recovering abandoned carts or collecting contact details outside business hours. It suits small businesses that want quick replies to routine questions without hiring extra support staff.
Tidio uses a Freemium model. The free plan includes a limited number of chats each month and a one-off allowance of 50 Lyro AI conversations, which is enough to test it. Paid plans start at about US$24 a month, and ongoing Lyro usage is sold as a separate add-on. Lyro runs on Tidio’s own AI, so there is no option to use your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key.
