ThinkRank, from the WPDeveloper team behind Essential Addons, is an AI-first SEO plugin for WordPress. It covers everything you'd expect from a full SEO plugin: SEO titles and meta descriptions, real-time content analysis with focus keyword tracking, schema markup, XML sitemaps, robots and canonical controls, Open Graph and social meta, Local SEO, IndexNow instant indexing and Google Search Console and GA4 insights inside the dashboard. It also generates an llms.txt file and has groundwork for AI search visibility (AEO and GEO). It reads content built in Elementor, Divi, Oxygen/Breakdance and Gutenberg properly, so page builder pages aren't scored as empty. It supports multilingual sites on WPML, Polylang and TranslatePress.
What sets ThinkRank apart is its self-hosted MCP server, which lets an external AI assistant operate the plugin directly. Claude connects through a guided one-click authorisation, and other MCP clients connect with an Application Password. You can then ask in plain language for things like "which posts are missing meta descriptions?" or "add FAQ schema to this page". Over 35 SEO tools are exposed this way. The server is off by default and can be revoked in one click. A setup wizard imports your existing data from Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, SEOPress and Squirrly, which makes switching from another SEO plugin easy.
ThinkRank is Freemium. The free version on WordPress.org includes the AI tools, the MCP server and the core SEO toolkit. Paid Pro plans add advanced features, from US$49.50 a year for one site up to a lifetime unlimited-sites licence. AI features use your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or OpenRouter, so there are no AI credits to buy.
