The Events Calendar (built by StellarWP) has long been the standard for running an events calendar on WordPress, and its new MCP server opens that functionality up to AI assistants over the Model Context Protocol.
Once connected via a WordPress application password, an assistant can create, read, update and delete events, venues, organisers and tickets, handle bulk operations, answer natural-language questions like “show me all free outdoor events in June,” and help migrate event data in from a spreadsheet. It works with The Events Calendar (6.15+) and Event Tickets (5.26+) through your site’s REST API.
The core plugin is free on WordPress.org, with paid Events Calendar Pro and Event Tickets Plus add-ons unlocking recurring events and advanced ticketing. The MCP server itself is free and open-source, no premium tier required.
